We live in a small village called Maquens only 5 minutes away from Carcassonne's Medieval City. We have converted part of our spacious house into 4 bedrooms.

There is a large dining-room for breakfast ( an assortment of jams, home-made pastries and bread will be served .......). There is a garden  with trees where you can have breakfast or relax in the evening after a long day out.

We will be only too pleased to point out all the different places worth the visit: the Carcassonne Walled City, the Cathar Castles, the Canal du Midi, bathings spots ( the Mediterranean beaches, one hour away, or lakes, 10 minutes away )... not to mention the numerous restaurants serving delicious local food.
